Mr. Real Expresses Disappointment with Skiibii and Mayorkun Amid Allegations by TikTok Influencer
Renowned Nigerian artist, Mr. Real, has raised concerns about the conduct of his counterparts, Skiibii and Mayorkun, in response to recent allegations made by TikTok influencer, Nicki DaBarbie.
The controversy unfolded when Nicki DaBarbie accused Skiibii and Mayorkun of soliciting her for involvement in occult or ritualistic practices. However, both artists vehemently denied these accusations, with Mayorkun taking legal action against the TikTok personality, filing a N1 billion lawsuit for defamation.
In the wake of this incident, Mr. Real voiced his disappointment towards his fellow artists on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He expressed apprehensions regarding the potential damage such allegations could inflict on the reputation of celebrities and their ability to interact with the public, especially women who might now fear association with them due to concerns of being targeted for rituals.
Mr. Real’s critique suggests that Skiibii and Mayorkun should have exercised greater caution and conducted thorough background checks on Nicki DaBarbie before engaging with her. He stressed the importance for celebrities to be more discerning in their interactions to preempt such controversies in the future.
In a since-deleted post on his Instagram story, Mr. Real lamented, “Have you not ruined things for us? These girls will no longer want to associate with celebrities. You should have first assessed whether her intentions were genuine. You messed up, seriously.”
