Davido Shows Cultural Respect: Prostrates to Greet Elders at Family Gathering in Ibadan
Renowned Afrobeats artist, David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, gracefully attended a family event at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan.
The celebrated DMW star, who recently made headlines for his acquisition of a private jet, journeyed to Ibadan to participate in the 40th-day fidaus prayer ceremony for the late Alhaji Aderemi Tohir Sanni, the husband of his aunt, Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Mrs. Dupe Adeleke – Sani.
In a widely circulated video on social media platforms, Davido was seen displaying traditional reverence by prostrating to greet family members, which included his uncle, the Governor of Osun State, and Senator Ademola Adeleke. Dressed in traditional attire, the DMW label boss garnered praise from numerous fans for embodying cultural decorum as a Yoruba man.
Davido’s respectful conduct has earned admiration from his supporters, further establishing his role as a cultural emissary within the Yoruba community.
